Bend It Like Bentham

A utilitarianism blog. Bending the truth and distorting the facts of reality so as to conform them with our own set of whims, emotions, faiths and wishes. This blog will take you on a journey through the philosophical musings and inner conflicts of a man entering the world of utilitarianism. We will focus on dissecting the works of Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill. Lastly, we will be exposing Objectivism as the irrational philosophy that it is.

Beer of the Year: Iron City

Iron City in aluminum bottles! I found these at Andersons, one of my favorite stores, a small chain that Walmart will eventually run out of business. These bottles actually keep the beer colder. The beer itself is almost as smooth as water, is delicious, and leaves no aftertaste. It used to be, when I wanted some Iron City, I'd have to get a case on my trips to Pittsburgh. Which is a strange affair indeed, here are Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta to explain buying alcohol according to Pennsylvania law:

SJ: Ok, so tell me again about the beer?

JT: Ok, what do you want to know?

SJ: Beer is legal there, right?

JT: Beer is legal but it ain’t 100% legal, you can’t just walk into a grocery store, buy a 6 pack and go drink it. I mean, they want you to go to special stores that sell beer.

SJ: So that’s all there is to it?

JT: Ok it breaks down like this, it's legal to buy it, its legal to own it, and if your the proprieter of a beer store its legal to sell it, but you have to buy a case at a time, you can’t just go and buy a 6-pack.

SJ: I can’t just go and buy a 6-pack?

JT: Hell no man its against the law, you have to get a 24-pack.

SJ: That sucks, what the hell for?

JT: That's the funniest thing about Pennsylvania, the little differences...

So there you have it. Iron City in the aluminum bottle is now my favorite beer.
